Series IV - Anthony White Papers - arranged chronologically.

Anthony White held large land grants in New York and New Jersey. He also served as chief clerk of the County Court of Pleas in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. Legal documents in this series are related to both of these occupations. Documents include deeds, contracts and wills. One document of note is a 1741 deed of land from Lewis Morris, governor of New Jersey, to Anthony White for Elizabeth Morris’ marriage portion.
