MC 03 - A. Walton White Evans Family Papers

Series V - Anthony Walton White Papers - arranged chronologically.

Much of the correspondence is dated during White’s service in the Revolutionary War. An item of particular note is a recommendation for appointment to the third battalion of New Jersey from General George Washington. Anthony Walton White was promoted to the rank of colonel by the end of the Revolution. He was later promoted to Brig. General during the War of the Wilderness campaign.
