The Junior Prom was the main social event of the year for the Junior class. It was first held by the Class of 1919 during the month of December. The prom, organized by a committee, was a formal dance with a well known band providing the entertainment. A queen and court were chosen. In 1949, the Junior Class chose to hold a semi-formal, inexpensive dance during Saturnalia. The dance was dubbed the "Snowflake Saturnalia" dance and it became an annual event.
