Access and Usage
Use of Rensselaer Libraries electronic journals and databases is governed by U.S. Copyright Law and contractual license agreements. Access is restricted to current Rensselaer students, faculty and staff and walk-in users of the Libraries. Usage of the material is permitted for education and research but is limited to non-commercial purposes. Copying or downloading of entire issues of a journal or any systematic downloading is prohibited, as is reselling, redistribution, or commercial use of the content. Users are expected to honor Copyright Law. Illegal or inappropriate usage can lead to loss of access for all Rensselaer users and possible legal action.

Provides access to a wide range of news, business, legal, medical and reference information. Coverage dates back more than 20 years for many areas. Professional Development Collection
Provides a highly specialized collection of over 500 full text journals, including nearly 350 peer-reviewed titles. A comprehensive collection of full text education journals. -
ProQuest Education Journals
Access to over 785 educational publications, with more than 615 available in full text. Covers primary, secondary, and higher education, special education, home schooling, adult education, and hundreds of related topics. Coverage: 1991-present. -
ProQuest Research Library
ProQuest Research Library provides one-stop access to more than 4,000 periodicals from one of the broadest, most inclusive general reference databases ProQuest has to offer. Search from a highly-respected, diversified mix of scholarly journals, trade publications, and magazines covering over 150 academic disciplines. -
PsycINFO
From the American Psychological Association (APA), contains more than 2 million citations and summaries of scholarly journal articles, book chapters, books, and dissertations, all in psychology and related disciplines,such as management, business, education, social science, neuroscience, law, medicine and social work. Contains material dating as far back as the 1800s. 97 percent of the covered material is peer-reviewed. Journal coverage, which spans 1887 to present, includes international material selected from nearly 2,000 periodicals in more than 25 languages. -
