  Access background analysis on the history, geography, society, economy, political system, foreign policy and national security of lesser known countries and regions. These handbooks were published between 1988 and 1998, so they should be used to obtain historical information and perspectives; they do not include current events.

• Bureau of Labor Statistics (Department of Labor)
  Principal fact-finding agency for the Federal Government in the broad field of labor economics and statistics. Offers a wide range of statistics on labor, the economy, and related topics. Data links are provided under categories on the home page.
• Business and Industry: Census Bureau Economic Programs (US Economic Census)
