Google Scholar Free Resource
Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, abstracts and articles, from academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, universities and other scholarly organizations. Google Scholar helps you identify the most relevant research across the world of scholarly research. SFX Linking allows users to connect direct from Google Scholar to RPI Library full text collections.

NOVELny RPI Only
NOVELny is a collection of electronic databases that provide access from library, home, school, or office to thousands of full-text national and international newspapers and magazines, health and medical resources, business collections, and Spanish language materials. Because this search tool is funded by New York State, a NYS driver’s license is required in order to use it.

ProQuest Databases RPI Only
A list of 16 databases covering various disciplines that can be searched jointly or individually.

ProQuest-CSA Illumina RPI Only
Illumina currently offers 16 databases covering engineering, biology, environmental science, patents, government research reports, arts and architecture. Search one or search them all.

Scirus Free Resource
A Sci-tech search engine from Elsevier. Scirus returns results from the whole Web, including access-controlled sites that other search engines don't index. Scirus currently covers over 300 million science-related Web pages.

Scitopia.org searches the entire electronic libraries of the leading voices in major science and technology disciplines and provides relevant results, without the noise of other Internet search engines. More than three million documents, including peer-reviewed journal content and technical conference papers, spanning 150 years of science and technology can be searched through the site. ;

Live Search Academic Beta is an online service you can use to search academic journals and other scholarly content for article titles, author names, article abstracts, and conference proceedings.
