LIBRARY CONFERENCE AND FISCHBACH SEMINAR ROOMSThe Folsom Library's Conference and Fischbach Seminar Rooms may be reserved by Rensselaer faculty, staff and Union-recognized student groups. Reservations are made by contacting the Library's Administration Office (x8300) during regular Institute business hours. Departments are responsible for making all arrangements to accommodate their individual meetings and must incorporate set-up and clean-up time into their scheduled reservation. Food and beverages are allowed in both meeting rooms and in the adjacent lounge areas. A liquor permit must be obtained from the Health Center if alcoholic beverages will be served. Audio-visual equipment can be provided by the Library but must be specified at time of reservation to assure availability. Equipment available includes an LCD projector, a PC with PowerPoint installed, an overhead projector, a wireless microphone, a carousel slide projector, and a VCR play only unit. Operation of equipment is the responsibility of the user. Media Operations (x8282) may be contacted for A-V services and equipment not provided by the Library.
Fischbach Seminar RoomThe Seminar Room is equipped with three movie screens, chalkboards, a lectern, tables and chairs. The tables and chairs are arranged typically in a “U” shape to seat 24 people. Extra chairs and tables are available for larger groups, but individuals reserving the room are responsible for changing the room to meet their needs and also returning it to the original “U” within the allotted time. The Krauss Lounge and the foyer area are closed to the public when meetings in the Fischbach Room are in progress.
Library Conference RoomThe Conference Room provides one large table seating a maximum of 12 people. The room is equipped with one screen and chalkboard, but its geometry is not satisfactory for overhead projection. The room can accommodate simple food set-ups.
